Zubaida at the age of 8 years now.

Letter to my princess, Zubaida:

You were named after the Queen Zubaida who was one of the most generous women and your beautiful name was chosen by your Nana. Baby girl, I vow to show you the strength of womanhood.

I vow to expose you to the power you innately possess. I vow to endlessly encourage you to seek knowledge and empower your mind. I vow to remind you always that true beauty is measured from within. I vow to always remind you to love yourself first and lead by example. I vow to share with you all of the lessons I have learned but also allow you to make your own mistakes. I vow to be the place you can come to feel uplifted and protected. I vow to be there for you always, through it all. I love you forever, my little angel. Every time you smile at me, my heart swells up with love. I feel like this is such a beautiful and blessed life because of you. I cannot get over the fact that I have a daughter as perfect as you. You can always come to me-no matter what-and I will help you figure things out.
Thank you for always being patient with me. Thank you for always loving me so unconditionally, even when I am not in the best of moods. Thank you for those unexpected kisses and hugs from behind. Thank you for exceeding every expectation I’ve ever had of having a child. Thank you for just being you.

Zubi's art partner.

We also have a pet cat named "Barfi" who's very fond of Zubi's artwork. :)
Whenever she's scribbling on paper Barfi tends.to sit next to her while she's busy drawing.
Here Barfi is trying to climb on the wall and touch some of the paintings. Poor kitty doesn't know how to though. Don't worry, Barfi, you can admire them from the floor length. :D

Art Pieces Of a Dreamer

From a very little age Zaubaida started to show interest in colors and drawing. To boost her confidence I pasted her art work on my wardrobe doors and lounge walls.
Making art is a trait less children posses at such a young age. She usually copies images from the internet or her favourite cartoon characters, by painting, sketching or coloring.
She makes cute little cards on special occasions like her father's or my birthday and expresses her feelings.
She's a dreamer and I want her to keep making art in the future too.

Swimming Day!

A bright sunny morning is perfect for a good swim. We occasionally visit NorthNazimabad Gymkhana, it's near to our house so it's pretty convenient for us. Zubaida is very fond of swimming! Her brothers taught her how to swim. She's always ready to gear up and splash into the pool with her life jacket on.

Zubaida And Her Friends

Hifza and Yumna are Zubaida's constant best friends since the age of 1. They're her second cousins and also my close friend(Mehreen)'s daughters. Let it be school, parties or hangouts, you'll always see them together running around.

Certificates

Apart from being a cheerful girl at home, Zubaida also works hard in school. I, as her mother, couldn't be more proud of her. Show and Tell is her favourite activity at school and mine too, since she brings so many certificates home as well after performing tremendously well.
I personally appreciate "Generations School" as well for motivating their students for such activities and enhancing a child's skills.

These are multiple pictures of Zubaida's first trip to Singapore!
We visited the S.E A Aquarium in Sentosa Island on Zubaida's request to explore the marine life. They have above 100,000 aquatic animals on display. Her amusement after seeing such creatures made her even empathetic towards animals.
The rest of the pictures are of the "Trick Eye Museum" in Singapore. Not only my kids, even I was surprised how basic illusions by 3D art work can fool us! :D  It's wonderful how people discover such ways to amuse the world.
